The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing patients admitted or being seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures. This role involves performing the primary function of a professional nurse leader, which includes assessing, planning, guiding, and evaluating the nursing care provided to patients. The RN is expected to deliver safe, competent nursing care in adherence to facility policies, standards, and philosophy, while also providing professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. All nursing care will be founded on the principles of Patient Centered Care, requiring assessments related to specific conditions, therapies, and interventions. The RN will oversee and guide nursing employees under their supervision and is responsible for interacting with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflict resolution. The position may require working weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call/call-back status, and demands the demonstration of Service Excellence standards at all times.
