About The Position
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. Part time, Days 7a/7p twice a week and rotating weekends. 24-bed unit with various medical and surgical diagnosis requiring Intermediate Level of Care Supportive Team Environment Budgeted 1:3-4 nurse to patient ratio Designated Admit/Discharge nurse 7 days/week Nursing Assistant support 24/7 Charge Nurse support 24/7 Clerical Support during peak hours Day and Night Management support Unit based educator Unit-based committee opportunities Top Tier Employee Engagement (Press Ganey, 2023) High percentage of Specialty Certified Nurses Certification reimbursement offered
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
- RN I <1 year
- RN II = 1-3 years
- RN III = 3-10 years
- RN IV = 10+ years
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Nursing preferred
