As a Medical Imaging Nurse in Medical Imaging, you will be an integral part of the team and responsible for many duties, such as: procedural sedation, assist with anesthesia cases, and circulate during IR cases. As a Medical Imaging Nurse in IR, you will be an integral part of the team and responsible for many duties in the IR lab, including circulating, monitoring, and documenting the case. Under the direction of the physician, the RN is responsible for procedural sedation and maintaining patient safety during the procedure. The IR team is comprised of highly skilled professionals that include registered nurses, interventional radiologist, neuro-interventionalist, physicians' assistants, and special procedure technologist. We have a collaborative culture with the Interventionalist Physicians who have been here for over 10 years. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
