About The Position

Position Summary:
The Medical Acute registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Medical Acute units. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for vulnerable patients.

Requirements

• All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Current California RN license
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Initial Dysrhythmia Recognition and NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• One year experience as a Telemetry RN.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: Recent Acute Care experience in Telemetry
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
