Requirements

• MDS Certification
• A current NY State RN license.
• Experience in the long-term care setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of nursing home regulations and reporting.
• Ability to serve on committees and assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.

Nice To Haves

• A BSN or bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the information resource for Medicare PPS and the MDS per state and federal guidelines.
• Educates on accurate completion of the MDS; Trains all new staff that complete MDS's.
• Completes MDS accurately per RAI manual.
• Responsible for Federal required submissions transmitted to the IQIES ASAP National Database.
• Works along side billing to ensure compliance.
