Our organization is looking for an experienced MDS Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process in a long-term care, inpatient, rehabilitation center, or nursing home setting. The MDS Coordinator will ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, as well as develop and implement systems to ensure timely completion of assessments. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of care provided to residents and ensuring that all assessments are completed in a timely manner. The MDS Coordinator will monitor the quality of care provided to residents in long-term care facilities, conducting quality assurance and utilization reviews of inpatient and rehabilitation center services. They will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, providing education and training to nursing home staff to enhance their understanding of MDS processes. Additionally, the MDS Coordinator will develop and implement policies and procedures related to MDS processes, coordinating the completion of the MDS assessment process for all residents. This position requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to improve resident care.
