About The Position

Oversee daily operations of the Surgical Department and manage the nursing staff. Ensure efficient, effective utilization of human, financial, and material resources. Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets. Monitor supplies and maintain proper inventory control. Complete staff performance reviews. Prepare and approve departmental time records. Assist in the development of departmental strategic plans. Coordinate department-specific tasks and patient care within the department. Act as a coach, mentor, and resource to staff and manage daily staffing changes.

Requirements

• BSN Degree or Baccalaureate in a related field
• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa
• Certified in BLS and ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Five years of experience in the field of nursing with at least two of those years in OR
• Supervisory, leadership, and management skills
