About The Position

The Ambulatory/PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, management, and delivery of high-quality care in the ambulatory and PACU settings. This role involves leading and supervising nursing staff, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care while maintaining an efficient and cost-effective environment. Other duties of the position include but are not limited to: All aspects of employee management. Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment Participation in the formulation and improvement of patient treatment plans and outcomes. Oversee the assessment, monitoring, and recovery of patients post-anesthesia, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions when necessary. Establishes direct lines of communication with other departments to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted service to patients and staff Demonstrates ability to perform nursing functions utilizing the Nursing Process, promoting evidence-based best practice. Maintains Rome Health policies and procedures, and appropriate regulations within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act. Participate in the development and implementation of long-term strategies for improving the quality of care, patient satisfaction, and department efficiency

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN or MSN required; applicants currently enrolled in a BSN education program would be considered.
  • BLS/ACLS is required.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in New York State
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive hospital nursing experience in a PACU or Ambulatory setting with experience in leadership preferred.
