About The Position

Overview Lead a well-established Mother Baby/Postpartum unit within a high-acuity, high-volume women’s services program. This leadership role oversees a 22-bed unit with a strong, tenured team and consistent patient census. Ideal for a nurse leader with postpartum expertise who can drive clinical excellence, staff engagement, and patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN license or Compact RN license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 3+ years of recent women’s services experience (Mother Baby/Postpartum) in acute care
  • Minimum 1+ year of leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager)
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • NRP certification (required within defined timeframe if not currently held)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Strong postpartum leadership experience with proven team management success
  • Experience managing established teams and driving quality metrics

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily operations of the Mother Baby/Postpartum unit
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient flow across a 22-bed unit
  • Supervise and mentor RNs, CNAs, and unit support staff
  • Drive quality outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians and leadership to enhance care delivery and patient experience
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
  • Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Support staff education, onboarding, and leadership development
