About The Position

A well-established hospital in Savannah, Georgia is seeking an experienced RN Manager – Mother Baby to lead a high-performing postpartum unit. This 600+ bed facility serves a multi-county region across southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina and is recognized for advanced specialty services, including trauma care, women’s services, and neonatal care. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a dedicated and tenured nursing team within a collaborative Women’s Services department.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or active Compact/Multi-State RN License.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 60 months of hire if not currently certified.
• Minimum of 3+ years of recent RN experience in Women’s Services (acute care setting).
• At least 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Strong background in Mother/Baby and Postpartum care with demonstrated leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Mother/Baby unit to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care standards in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and team development.
• Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on patient-centered care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote best practices in postpartum care.
