About The Position

The RN Manager – Labor & Delivery provides clinical and operational leadership for a Labor & Delivery unit within a high-volume Women’s Services program. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, staffing, clinical quality, and team performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and professional nursing standards. This position plays a key role in advancing clinical excellence, staff engagement, and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma – Required
  • Active Texas RN license or valid compact RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent (within the past year) leadership experience in Labor & Delivery
  • Proven experience leading clinical teams in an acute-care Labor & Delivery setting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the Labor & Delivery unit
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, patient safety indicators, and staff performance
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and effective resource utilization
  • Support staff development, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Participate in leadership on-call coverage as assigned
