About The Position

A high-volume acute care hospital in Savannah, Georgia is seeking an experienced RN Manager of Labor & Delivery to lead daily operations within a busy women’s services program. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical practice, staffing, and unit performance within Labor & Delivery, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality maternal care. The RN Manager will work collaboratively with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact/Multi-State accepted, where applicable)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
  • Strong experience leading Labor & Delivery teams in a high-volume setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in quality improvement and staff development

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership to nursing and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and evidence-based practice.
  • Support staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care demands.
  • Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with women’s services leadership on policies, procedures, and service line initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for Labor & Delivery staff.
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
