About The Position
A modern, 165-bed acute care hospital in Davie, FL is seeking an experienced RN Manager – Labor & Delivery to lead its Labor & Delivery and Postpartum/Newborn (PNU) departments. The facility offers comprehensive services including maternity care, emergency services, orthopedics, oncology, neurosciences, and more, within a collaborative and growing healthcare environment. The RN Manager – Labor & Delivery provides leadership and operational oversight for the Labor & Delivery and PNU units , ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. This role is accountable for regulatory compliance, staff performance, departmental outcomes, and operational efficiency in alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (meeting Florida requirements)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire
- STABLE certification required within 60 months of hire
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required within 60 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery and PNU departments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS, AHCA)
- Manage staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and departmental goals
- Monitor budgets, productivity, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and hospital administration
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and excellence in maternal/newborn care
