About The Position

The RN Manager ER is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the emergency department, responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel, and creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organizations mission and vision. This position also assumes the role as leader in planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating his/her department functions in collaboration with the Director and staff to assure quality service is provided. The Manager is also responsible for helping the Director meet JCAHO standards, complying with the organizations policies and procedures, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Entry level may be an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice and/or active compact license.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • AHA ACLS & PALS required; CEN/TNCC preferred.
  • 3+ years of Clinical Nurse Coordinator experience or Clinical Nurse Leadership position required.
  • 5+ years of Charge Nurse experience or prior Assistant Director experience preferred.
