The registered nurse (RN)-Manager is a professional nurse under the supervision and direction of the department director or director of nurses. The manager works within the state defined scope of practice and adheres to defined policies/procedures and regulatory requirements. The manager is the unit/department operational leader responsible for the day- to- day operations of the unit/department. The manager works cohesively with the unit/department director and promotes collaboration amongst physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. The manager will live our mission and uphold our standards of behavior and values and will serve as a clinical resource and a professional role model for staff.
