About The Position

The RN – Integrated Manager – Cardiovascular Services – shares 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the management and operation of the non-invasive cardiology, diagnostic imaging RN’s, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and the cardiac nurse navigators at John Muir Health. Supervises staff, including hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals. Tracks and analyzes financial indicators budget, capital, staffing levels, supply costs, productivity and quality outcomes and addresses opportunities for improvement utilizing process improvement strategies. Collaborates with Executive Leadership, Executive Directors, Service Line Directors, Financial Directors, Departmental Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, Staff and Interdisciplinary Team with integration between both campuses to standardize, update and/or maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance. Promotes compliance with internal standards and regulatory and accreditation requirements. Participates in the annual operational planning process. Executes priorities to ensure implementation of operation plan within the work unit or units. Promotes staff accountability and empowerment through formal and informal processes. Accountable for appropriate consistent staffing and scheduling. Role model’s collaboration and collegiality cross interdisciplinary teams including physicians. Promotes excellence in customer service.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Accredited School of Nursing - Required
  • 2 years Nursing - Leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Manager - Required
  • RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Required
  • Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Required within 2 years of hire and Must be included in the list of allowed certifications by ANCC for Magnet demographics > https://www.nursingworld.org/organizational-programs/magnet/program-tools/accepted-certifications/
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software application, including MS Office (Work, Outlook Mail, and Excel). Other applications may be necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Accredited School of Nursing - Preferred
  • 3 years Progressive leadership positions in acute care, cardiology, or procedural setting - Preferred
