About The Position

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the well- established and dynamic Mammography Team. Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity. Job Summary: Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Experience in care coordination and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart Association by start date

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of clinical experience in breast health and/or oncology care navigation
  • Breast Navigation experience / BHCN Certification (Breast Health Clinical Navigation); or obtain w/in 2 years of start date.
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  • Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  • Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  • Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  • Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  • Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  • Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
