About The Position

The field nurse will provide direct patient care in the patients place of residence. He/she must be able to function independently in performing the nursing process. Assess patients’ condition during every visit and chart observations. Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review and implement the plan of care provided by the clinician. Submission of timely documentation via our e-charting system. Requirements

Current, unencumbered Texas license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Current CPR certification
Reliable transportation
Meet physical demands of lifting, transfers, kneeling and standing.

Nice To Haves

Pediatrics experience is recommended, but not necessary. In-Office and On-Site training provided

Responsibilities

Provides direct, hands-on care to assigned clients.
Observes and assesses the client’s condition and care needs appropriately and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician, as appropriate.
Administers prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
Medication Monitoring
Takes appropriate nursing action based on current assessments and achieves expected outcomes.
Educates and provides ongoing support and education to families and caregivers.
