Best practices and evidence-based interventions are utilized to ensure optimal outcomes, with accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. The position supports autonomy and individual choice for all patients and maintains compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and organizational policies. Participation in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives is expected, along with engagement in shared governance, committees, and new process development. The role also includes serving as a resource and mentor to Patient Care Associates and other staff, identifying and responding to safety concerns in the unit environment, and participating in unit activities such as meal assistance and social events.
