About The Position

Christie Clinic's department of Pediatrics at the Windsor Clinic in Champaign is seeking a full-time RN or LPN (Sign-On Bonus Available) from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse License or Valid State License to practice Practical Nursing is required. Previous nursing experience preferred.

Requirements

Illinois State RN or LPN license
Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Nice To Haves

Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
Arrange for patient testing and admission.
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority, and documenting appropriately.
Attend and participate in departmental huddles.
Obtain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
Administer injections.
Send prescription refills.
Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, etc.
Administer IV therapy and push IV medications (if you have an RN License)
Perform related work as required.
