The role involves being a capable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. The position requires providing effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients, seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice. The role assumes a beginning clinical bedside leadership role and seeks mentoring in this process. The nurse will participate as a professional member of the Professional Nursing Governance Council (PNGC), providing feedback on issues being addressed at meetings, and will actively participate on Unit Council to help improve nursing sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data. The new graduate clinical RN will focus primarily on developing knowledge and skills and showing growth in the ability to care for increasingly complex patients. Responsibilities include providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinating care for assigned patients to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.

  • Document all aspects of the nursing process using the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in maintaining and monitoring the work environment to ensure compliance with DNV regulations.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
  • Associate Nursing Degree Required.
  • One (1) year of experience as a professional RN.
  • National certification in clinical specialty as eligible.
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
  • One (1) year experience in Long Term Care.
  • Membership in a professional organization.
