Schedule: M-F 2p-10p. Primary job duties: Initial assessment/treatment of work related injuries (wrist pains, shoulder pains, cuts, scrapes, etc) Processing Workman's compensation paperwork Working with the work comp carrier Involvement with Alliance Laundry safety team Stretching programs with employees Work hardening programs with employees. Job Summary: Provides health care services to the organization's employees in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • Two years' registered nurse experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Responsibilities

  • Provides treatments for job related injuries and related injuries
  • Conducts pre-employment health screenings and immunization clinics.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable workplace safety laws and regulations.
  • May also conduct safety training programs.
  • Provides employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters.
  • Monitors trends and causes of employee safety events and works with colleagues to identify areas of safety risk.
  • As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model.
  • Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and our patient populations
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
