GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. FT position available Days Opportunity to work in an Outpatient Neurology Unit with an established subspecialty patient population. Able to multi task Opportunity to contribute to team-based outpatient care for an established subspecialty population with complex neurological disorders. Patient population is primarily adults with movement disorders, particularly Parkinson disease. Requirements
- Needed skills and experience include: working with individuals with communication deficits
- using electronic record systems and Excel spreadsheets
- attentive record keeping and organization skills
- team-based communications with providers for coordination of outpatient care needs for chronic, progressive neurologic disease.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of acute patient care experience preferred.
