This position manages women's services activities, workflow, and nursing resources. The role involves collecting and analyzing health data to develop and implement individualized care plans for women and newborns, focusing on family-centered care. Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery, employing health teaching strategies, evaluating patient progress, and making ethical decisions. The RN will practice in a culturally diverse and inclusive manner, collaborating with families and healthcare providers. The role also entails serving as a role model, mentor, and change agent, while continuously acquiring and maintaining knowledge in evidence-based nursing practice. The nurse will integrate evidence to improve the quality of nursing practice, evaluate their own performance against professional standards, and consider resource factors related to safety, effectiveness, technology, and fiscal responsibility. The position requires applying evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to ensure nursing care aligns with patient age-specific and clinical needs, and working in a constant state of alertness and safety.
