About The Position
Registered Nurse that designs and conducts lactation, breastfeeding and breast care educational programs to meet regulatory and audience demands and to support achievement of Infirmary Health System’s standards of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Specialized knowledge in breastfeeding gained by formal education, self-study and experience providing breastfeeding assistance to mothers and babies
- BLS
- Current Alabama RN license OR Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
- Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama
- International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant status must be achieved within 12 months of placement into position
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree in Nursing
- Current International Certified Lactation Consultant status.
