Childbirth is one of life’s most special moments. Patients deserve to have a voice in the care they and their baby receive, and Mercy Hospital’s 2A 2C Maternity Unit ensures their voices are heard. This unit strives to give patients the birth experience they want, which may include developing birth plans, skin-to-skin contact, different labor and birthing positions, delayed umbilical cord clamping, focus on the Golden Hour, and more. As an RN on the Labor and Delivery team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will circulate and scrub in the Operating Room, train in the OB Emergency Department and cross-train to post-partum, allowing you to interact directly with mom, baby and their families. A caregiver in this position works full-time| on-calls| nights| 7:00pm—7:30am| weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon or within one year of hire
One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
