We believe in providing a calming environment when it’s time to give birth and keeping babies close to their mothers after birth. By joining the Labor and Delivery team at Indian River Hospital as an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, babies, and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Labor and Delivery experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
