About The Position
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our state-of-the-art OB Emergency Department Team at Hillcrest Hospital. Expecting mothers faced with unexpected medical emergencies can now utilize a specialized Emergency Department (ED) for care. Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital has engineered a leading-edge obstetrics (OB) ED specially equipped to assess and treat the unique complications that can arise during pregnancy. The goal of this 7-bed unit is to provide rapid, appropriate treatment that is focused on the well-being of both mother and fetus. This unit is located within Hillcrest Hospital's Labor and Delivery Unit. When an expected mother arrives in the primary ED, they are triaged and directed to the correct path for care. Many will be taken directly to a dedicated OB area. By doing this the wait times will be shorter, and the staff is specially trained in obstetrics and women can be seen by a staff OB/Gyn practitioner. A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am.
