RN Labor & Delivery (L&D) (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Plano, TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate is experienced in obstetric nursing, adaptable in high-acuity environments, and committed to delivering safe, family-centered, evidence-based care.

Requirements

Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS preferred.
Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure.
Compassionate and family-centered approach to patient care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, uterine contractions, and labor progression, intervening as needed.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including induction agents, epidurals, and IV therapies.
Assist physicians, midwives, and the care team during deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
Educate mothers and families on labor, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in L&D care.
