We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team . The RN will provide skilled, patient-centered care to women during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, ensuring safe delivery and high-quality maternal and neonatal outcomes. Requirements
- Current California RN license (required).
- Minimum 2 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (hospital setting preferred).
- Current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (preferred).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
- Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals under provider direction.
- Educate and support patients and families on labor, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
- Respond to emergencies such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, or eclampsia with critical thinking and rapid interventions.
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and NICU staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
