About The Position

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a PRN Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our team. This role is part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. As a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure positive patient outcomes and provide high-quality care to laboring mothers and newborns.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associates Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
  • At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, treatment, and care for laboring moms and newborns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to protect, promote, and optimize health and ability.
  • Prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through diagnosis and treatment, and advocate for individuals and families.
  • Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients.
  • Participate in Shared Governance, attend unit meetings, complete surveys, and share ideas through communication channels.
  • Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services.
