About The Position

Colleton Medical Center is seeking a PRN/As needed Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This role is part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. As a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients. You will serve as a key position of the interdependent team, holding responsibility for achieving positive patient and unit outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associates Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
• Prior RN experience in Labor and Delivery is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, treatment, and care for laboring moms and newborns.
• Collaborate with other members of the health care team to protect, promote, and optimize health and ability.
• Prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through diagnosis and treatment, and advocate for individuals and families.
• Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients.
• Contribute to the practice of nursing through participation in Shared Governance, attendance at unit meetings, and completion of surveys.
• Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services.
