About The Position

Watertown Regional Medical Center is NOW HIRING for a full-time RN to join our Women's Health Department in Labor and Delivery! We are offering a $15,000 Sign On Bonus! Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Current state RN license or compact state equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) as required per facility policy.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as required per facility policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as required per facility policy.
  • Fetal Monitoring Certification as required per facility policy.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as required per facility policy.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of obstetrical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in obstetric and neonatal care.
  • Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and fetal monitoring systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care in the obstetrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans for mothers and infants.
  • Monitors fetal heart tones, vital signs, and patient status throughout labor and postpartum.
  • Administers medications, performs procedures, and assists physicians with exams and deliveries.
  • Educates patients and families on postpartum care, infant care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions.
  • Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
  • Participates in emergency response situations, including neonatal resuscitation and postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment in compliance with infection control standards.
  • Participates in staff training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
