Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: OFFICE VISITS: Assesses and monitors changes in the physical and psycho/social needs of patients utilizing the nursing process Educates and counsels patient and/or caregiver with provisions for follow-up Prepares the patient for and assists in complex procedures and treatments Administers and documents all medications including IV therapy accurately CHARTING: Patient charting is entered into the EMR accurately and in a timely manner Provides clinical direction to the support staff (LPNs, Medical Assistants) MISCELLANEOUS: Responds to emergencies as needed Checks code cart weekly, if applicable Stocks supplies as needed

Requirements

Minimum education: Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
NY State RN License
BLS Certified; ACLS certification required
Critical Care experience required
IV certification preferred
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Completes competency skill checklist within first 3 months
Vascular/surgical experience highly preferred
EMR experience is a strong plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
