Interventional Radiology utilizes minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, and various others across the body. As an Interventional Radiology RN, you will assist physicians in performing advanced procedures by preparing patients, inserting IVs, and monitoring patients. You will be working with critical and/or ill patients, so building rapport and trust with the patient and their family members is crucial. In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of everyone you meet, all while enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience in a diversity of modalities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Critical care and/or Emergency Department experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
