About The Position

This is a seasonal, 13-week assignment for a Registered Nurse in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center. The role involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, with rotating weekend requirements. The first week includes Monday-Friday orientation. While a short-term assignment, the individual will be a Baylor employee, with the potential to convert to a regular full-time, part-time, or PRN role afterward. Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a major patient care, teaching, and research center in Dallas, Texas, with 914 licensed beds. It is recognized for its medical specialty centers and has achieved Magnet Recognition. Baylor Scott & White Health is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, offering extensive career opportunities. The Acute Care units are fast-paced, high-acuity environments, supporting learning and mentoring. The patient population includes Nephrology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Gastrointestinal, and Psychiatric, with a patient ratio of 1:5 across 32 beds.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • RN License no stipulations
  • 2 years of RN experience in an inpatient hospital setting
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EPIC EHR charting system highly preferred

  • Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day) so if you worked a weekend night, you would be paid $51 + $5 + $6.
