About The Position

This Unit will be an Intermediate care unit that cares for a patient population of increased levels of acuity. In this department, you will have the exciting opportunity to care for a wide spectrum of patient populations that meet criteria for Intermediate care. You will interact and work alongside dedicated intensivist, Advanced Practice Providers, and a complete multidisciplinary team that promotes academic shared learning and career growth. Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Program in nursing.
• Current RN license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.
• 2 years of true, recent PCU/ICU hospital RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans, adjusting plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing discomfort and maintaining professionalism.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members on healthcare choices.
• Assess and document learning needs regularly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and community to create care plans, delegating tasks carefully and following up promptly.
• Utilize problem-solving strategies with patients, families, and staff, prioritizing safety and effectiveness in patient care.
• Achieve goals through teamwork and contribute to peers' development.
