RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (with $6,900 Completion Bonus)

About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide expert care to critically ill patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate has strong ICU experience, demonstrates sound critical thinking under pressure, and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); CCRN preferred.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
Compassionate and adaptable approach to caring for critically ill patients.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Monitor and manage vital signs, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other life-support equipment.
Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations such as code responses.
Educate patients’ families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and available resources.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and evidence-based ICU care standards.
