RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Baylor Weekend Day shift Position BWP (0.6 FTE)
About The Position
Wage Range: $ 48.21- $87.11 per hour Additional pay for BSN / MSN This Baylor position includes two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts per weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM the nurse working in a BWP will be paid 1.25 x for all weekend day shift hours. Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity. Job Summary: Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
- Minimum of one-year recent RN experience in critical care or intensive care nursing.
- Current WA State Registered Nurse License
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS- American Heart Association by start date.
- Current Healthcare Provider ACLS- American Heart Association by start date.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- CCRN certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
- Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
- Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
- Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
- Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
- Effectively communicates all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
- Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
