About The Position

The RN - Director - Integrated - Cardiovascular Services will provide highly visible leadership of the Cardiovascular Services workforce and foster a culture which values and demonstrates clinical excellence, staff empowerment and continuing professional development. Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients in the assigned Department(s) on a twenty-four hour basis. Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities, including fiscal, material and human resource management. Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures. Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing (either Bachelor's or Master's degree must be in Nursing).
  • 5 years of management experience in an acute care cardiology setting.
  • Management experience in Interventional Cardiac Catheterization.
  • Management experience in Electrophysiology and Angiography Laboratory.
  • Extensive experience working with physicians and proven ability to gain trust and credibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing Specialty Certification achieved prior to or within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
