About The Position

The Cox Branson Acute Rehab Unit is a small unit with 13 beds that specializes in adult rehabilitation for patients after surgeries, debilitating illnesses, strokes, etc. The nursing staff works closely with speech, physical, and occupational therapies using a team approach to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to improve patient outcomes. The Rehabilitation nurse cares for patients experiencing temporary, progressive, or permanent disabilities or illnesses that require rehabilitation. Rehab nurses assess, diagnose, and help to design a plan of care that best suits the patient’s needs and expedite recovery. Working with physicians, pharmacists, and occupational and physical therapists, rehabilitation nurses support patients throughout the recovery process by educating them and helping set recovery goals, encouraging self-care, and providing effective coping skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• RN license active in the state of Missouri
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
