The Wound Ostomy Team is looking for an RN to join their team in a Wound/Ostomy Continence specialty! This role provides on the job training within an intimate department of NPs, Nurses and a CNA. Provides rotation through clinic and hospital setting. - Monday - Friday 8:00a-5:00pm - Experience is credit to wage range - advancement opportunity Come join this impactful specialty! Cares for patients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence needs. Knowledgeable and skillful in consulting, following and/or developing care protocols for pediatrics and adults requiring their services. Will serve as a clinical resource and consultant to patient care staff in developing and implementing patient care plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• Completion of Wound, Ostomy, and/or Continence Nursing Education Program and continued board certified within first 24 months of employment into role.
• Certification as a Wound and Ostomy Nurse through the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (CWON) and/or (CWOCN).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
