Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Manage, delegate, and coordinate quality nursing care Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team Demonstrate accountability for professional practice by participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, maintaining licensure and certifications, and completing mandatory education in a timely manner Deliver family centered, child-focused patient care according to the nursing process Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practice to provide patient care Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator Participate in departmental and/or hospital wide committees or task forces Follows all departmental and hospitalwide policies Demonstrate the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood. Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- At least 1 year RN experience required
- American Heart Association BLS required
- PALS certification, or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
