Position Highlights Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital. Full-Time or Weekend Package positions qualify for hiring incentives paid out over a 3 year period. Additional straight night shift incentive may apply. The amount of incentives offered may be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
- IA RN license or compact state
- BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire
- New grads encouraged to apply - Nurse Residency Program upon hire!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
- Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
- Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
- Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
