Sanford Health is one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the United States. This Registered Nurse position is on a 28-bed unit specializing in orthopedic and surgical care, located within an Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at the Sanford South University campus, which also houses orthopedic clinics and a surgery center. The unit is designated as a Center of Joint Success, primarily focusing on caring for patients undergoing elective orthopedic surgeries and total joint replacements. Nurses on this unit collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and providers to ensure patients receive optimal care. The unit is characterized by its fast-paced environment and a strong culture of teamwork, which contributes to positive outcomes for both employees and patients. Staffing operates on a closed campus model, meaning nurses are not required to float to other campuses, only within the inpatient acute Rehab unit. The role offers opportunities for self-scheduling and provides ongoing support during and after orientation through clinical learning and development specialists and a Nurse Residency Program for new graduates.
