If you are a passionate RN ready to contribute significantly to the field of oncology join our distinguished team on the 36-bed adult inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital! This unique opportunity invites you to work in an environment led by expertise, supported by talent, and guided by compassion. Assure proficient and compassionate nursing care tailored to specific patients. Delegate tasks to clinical and support staff. Be accountable for leading nursing care for a designated patient group. Collaborate with the Nursing Director and Patient Care Team members to achieve efficient patient outcomes. RN's work closely with patients to meet their needs and expectations and to ensure care is safe, efficient, effective, and timely. Meet the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of licensed RN experience (required)
  • Effective communication and collaboration
  • Dedication to providing outstanding patient care
  • Associate's Degree Nursing required and Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oncology nursing (preferred)
  • Strong interest in oncology.
  • Hospital or managed care experience 0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
