About The Position

The RN Infusion Nurse in Oncology at Urology Clinics of North Texas (UCNT) is responsible for administering IV therapies, monitoring patient comfort, and ensuring accurate documentation of treatments. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously while providing excellent customer service and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

• Current RN License.
• 2+ years' experience in biologics, monoclonal antibodies, and medical oncology preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Nice To Haves

• Oncology Certified Nurse certification (Preferred)
• Experience as a Chemo Infusion RN (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Start IVs and monitor the infusion of medications, logging all treatments in the EMR system.
• Evaluate patients' medical needs before, during, and after IV therapy.
• Monitor patient comfort levels throughout the infusion process.
• Administer ordered therapies according to provider's orders.
• Manage patient calls and emails related to clinical questions.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for infusion therapy and monitor patients during infusions.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure the integrity of patient records, including HIPAA compliance and consent forms.
• Process prescription refills as appropriate.
• Provide assistance throughout the office as needed.
• Administer medications and vitamins via intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
