About The Position

Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, implements, evaluates, or maintains information handling technologies to collect patient and client data to support the practice of nursing, working directly with the Nursing Department, also coordinate with other hospital departments, the IT department, CPSI and ECW. Prepares reports and recommendations for management and assists in developing departmental practices and policies. Carries out assignments of a broad nature while exercising considerable judgment and originality. Works under minimum supervision. Provides supervision for special project employees. Solves unusual problems jointly with supervision and has work reviewed for application of sound judgment. Has some independence for un-reviewed actions or decisions. Maintains confidentiality when handling patient records. Performs all work with accordance to the mission, vision, and values of McBride Orthopedic Hospital.

Requirements

  • Must possess current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sophisticated documentation techniques.
  • Extensive utilization of electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ability to process technical information and adapt processes in response to organizational needs.
  • Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • IT education or experience.
  • Background and exposure to different departments in both hospital and clinic environments.
