About The Position
Alaris Health at Kearny, a 120-bed skilled nursing center located in Kearny, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated RN Infection Preventionist to join our team. This part-time position is crucial for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our nursing care delivery system, ensuring that our nursing philosophy is effectively translated into practice. The Infection Preventionist will play a vital role in establishing guidelines aimed at preventing and controlling the spread of contagious, infectious, or communicable diseases within the facility. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring the sanitary environment for all center personnel, residents, and visitors, ensuring that all infection control policies and procedures are not only implemented but also adhered to rigorously. This role includes coordinating regular in-service training on infection control practices at least quarterly, which is essential for maintaining high standards of care. Additionally, the Infection Preventionist will be responsible for detecting and addressing nosocomial infections systematically and in real-time, performing epidemiological investigations of all significant infection clusters that may arise. Active involvement in the center's quality improvement policy is a key aspect of this position, promoting and maintaining a safe environment for all. Above all, the Infection Preventionist will ensure that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes individual needs and rights. This role is not only about compliance but also about fostering a culture of safety and excellence in care delivery.
