About The Position

Nurse Resource Pool, Full Time, Nights 7p-7a Additional Information: Provides and promotes a proficient level of nursing practice to efficiently provide safe, effective, and holistic patient and family centered care for the patients and families with complex needs. Uses increased knowledge, skills, and experience to understand situations holistically and plans and adjusts accordingly. Quickly recognizes variations from the anticipated course, thinks critically, modifies plans, makes appropriate decisions, recognizes salient patient care issues, and focuses on long term goals. The RN III Staffing Team is a member of the nurse resource pool and has a broader scope with the ability to work in multiple areas within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Nursing - 3 years of experience
  • Certification specific to patient population
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and promotes excellence in the application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
  • Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a proficient level.
  • Proficiently assesses increasingly complex patients and serves as a resource to others to ensure developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Analyzes increasingly complex patient/family information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates complex variations and patterns in patient care data for clinical implications.
  • Provides individualized patient and family education at a proficient levels in increasingly complex care situations and serves as a resource in guiding others.
  • Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence, patient's and family's preferences and values, and team's clinical expertise at a proficient level.
  • Exemplifies, supports and serves as a resource for understanding the AC Professional Practice Model.
  • Demonstrates increased responsibility through participation and leadership in interdisciplinary shared decision making councils, committees, and hospital initiatives and serves as a resource to others.
  • Participates and leads in the improvement of patient care, nursing practice and the work environment.
  • Role models and promotes accountability for the quality of patient care across settings and caregivers.
  • Serves in key roles and mentors others in active participation on councils, committees, hospital initiatives, onboarding, recruitment and retention activities.
  • Role models and promotes networking and participation in community organizations which promote health and wellness.
  • Proficiently mentors, coaches, precepts, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
